Online Banking Alert Timing

Alerts are established in Exchange OnLine and the mobile app. The timelines provided below are a guideline and may vary based upon your service provider and system maintenance.  

General Alerts

General Alerts are default security alerts and other notifications triggered by important events, such as changes to your personal information. 

General Alerts are sent in real-time, which means they are triggered by an event to send.  Timing of when you receive it may depend on phone / data service and service providers.

General Alerts Include:

  • Profile Changes
  • Contact Information Changes
  • Linked Account
  • Non-Registered Device / New Device
  • User Locked Out
  • Username Retrieval Confirmation

Account Alerts

Most Account Alerts are triggered with overnight processing, once a day.  These alerts include:

  • Balance
  • Check Cleared
  • Insufficient Funds
  • Loan Payment Due
  • Returned Check
  • Transaction
  • Transaction Description

The Balance Summary Alert is scheduled by the user; timing is based on their preference.

Authentication / Online Banking Access Alert

The Online Banking Access Alert notifies the end user each time their username is used to log into online banking. This alert is sent in real-time.

Bill Pay Alerts

All Bill Pay Alerts are mandatory and only available via email. Bill Pay Alerts are generated and sent as transactions are processed.

Card Management Alerts

Card Management Alerts are sent in real-time. 

  • All Transactions
  • Locations - by "My Regions" and International
  • Transaction Limits per Transaction and per Month
  • Transaction Types
  • Merchant Types

Mobile Deposit Completed Alert

The Mobile Deposit Completed Alert is a mandatory alert that will automatically be triggered each time a mobile deposit is completed. It is sent in real-time.

Transfer Alerts

Transfer Alerts are triggered to send in real-time when a transfer event happens. Alerts include:

  • External Transfer Account Added
  • External Transfer Account Blocked
  • External Transfer Cancelled
  • External Transfer Submitted
  • Multi-Account Transfer Submitted
  • Transfer Fails
  • Transfer Succeeds
