eBanker FAQs

What is an eBanker?

An eBanker is an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) where video service is available during business hours and enhanced transactions can be performed with or without assistance. Our eBankers allow you to bank from the convenience of your vehicle! You can complete many of the same transactions that you do at a traditional drive-thru or in an office and receive personal service from our vBanker team on the interactive screen. The vBanker (virtual banker) is a NEBAT employee, working right here in Southeast Wisconsin (Fond du Lac to be exact).

Why would I want to use an eBanker versus going to a traditional drive-thru or into an office?

eBankers offer convenience and service all in one. Assistance is available during business hours, but customers can perform a majority of their transactions on their own, and in many cases it is faster than completing transactions the traditional way at a teller window or with a drive-thru tube.

Can I put coin in or get coin out?

No. Coin transactions need to be completed via traditional means. Note, items in our after-hours drop box at 130 S. Main Street by 8:00 AM on business days will be processed the same day.

How are cents handled if I want to cash a check?

For customers the change is deposited into the account of choice.

For non-customers, the change will be subtracted from the check-cashing fee. For example, if you are not a customer and want to cash a check for $35.50, the $0.50 will come out of the $5.00 check-cashing fee and you will receive $31.

Will my transactions be processed the same as if I went to a traditional drive-thru or into an office?

Yes. Any transactions made during regular business hours will process the same as they would at any other office. Transactions done after-hours will be processed on the next business day.

I like the personal interactions I have enjoyed in the past. Why wouldn't I just go to another office?

Having personal interactions with our vBankers is now easier than at a traditional drive-up, because they are right in front of you - easier to see and hear on the screen. We are excited to offer our customers opportunities to bank in the way that is best for them, whether that means they drive-thru after hours and deposit a check, visit with a vBanker during business hours or visit one of our other convenient locations.

What types of transactions can I do with an eBanker?

Customers with a CheckCard can perform deposits and withdrawals at any time, any day of the week. Other transactions such as loan payments, and deposits or withdrawals to accounts without a CheckCard or ATM card can be done with assistance from a vBanker during normal banking hours.

As a business customer, I need my employees to perform transactions. How can we use the eBanker?

Businesses CheckCards do not perform balance inquiries and can be limited to either deposits only or withdrawals only to allow each business to manage their cards to fit their unique needs. Additionally, a vBanker (video assistance) is available during regular business hours and items placed in the after-hours drop box before 8:00 AM on business days are processed the same day.

Will business hours be changing from what the traditional drive-thru was to new eBankers?

With an eBanker, customers can perform 90% of transactions on their own, so the hours of operation for those transactions will now be 24/7. Normal business hours for assistance from a vBanker at the 130 S. Main Street office in Fond du Lac will be Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM only.  In Fond du Lac, our office on W. Johnson Street has staffed drive-thru hours on Saturday mornings, and our office inside Festival Foods is staffed on Saturday and Sunday.

Why can't my transaction be completed?

The amount of your requested transaction may exceed the ATM and CheckCard daily limits.

When I tried to cash a check, the machine accepted my check but would not dispense cash. What do I do now?

If requesting to cash a check for less than $1,000 after hours and the funds are available in your account, you can deposit the check and then withdraw cash in a separate transaction. If the check is for more than the funds available in your account, the check will be deposited but cash will not be dispensed until the funds are available. Contact your local banker for further assistance.
