National Exchange Bank & Trust is proud to celebrate a milestone year highlighted by statewide and national recognition honoring our leadership and the bank’s long-standing commitment to community-focused service.

In December 2025, Chairman of the Board, Peter Stone, was recognized in BizTimes Media’s Wisconsin 275: The State’s Most Influential Business Leaders. The honor highlights leaders who have made a significant impact in their industries and communities through leadership, innovation and long-standing contributions. Stone has been with National Exchange Bank since 1966. He has played a significant role in the bank’s growth from one location in Downtown Fond du Lac, $25 million in assets and 20 employees to 32 locations throughout Southeast Wisconsin, $2.8 billion in assets and 400 employees. Stone’s recognition reflects a steady and community-centered approach to leadership, guiding the bank with values rooted in integrity, service and local investment.

In addition, National Exchange Bank & Trust was included on the Forbes list of Best-in-State-Banks in 2025, an award based largely on customer feedback and satisfaction. The recognition reinforces the bank’s dedication to relationship banking, local decision-making and delivering accessible financial services to individuals, families and businesses across the communities it serves.

As 2026 begins, National Exchange Bank & Trust continues to focus on strengthening community relationships and providing financial guidance grounded in trust and personal care.

"Our accomplishments in 2025 are a testament to the trust our customers place in us and the dedication of our employees who serve them every day,” said Eric Stone, President and CEO of National Exchange Bank & Trust. “As we begin 2026, our focus remains on supporting our communities, investing in our team and ensuring that our customers continue to receive the personal attention and dependable service they have come to expect. With gratitude for the trust placed in us, National Exchange Bank & Trust remains committed to serving as a dependable financial partner for generations to come.”
