Community has always been central to how National Exchange Bank & Trust serves its customers. As an independent bank rooted in the places we call home, our relationships extend beyond financial services. They are built on trust, long‑term commitment and a belief that doing business responsibly also means investing in the well‑being of our communities.
Over the years, this belief has taken many forms, including the establishment of a private, philanthropic foundation in the late 1990s. Originally called the Stone Foundation, the name changed to the National Exchange Bank Foundation in 2016. The foundation was created to support community needs in a thoughtful and sustainable way, and while it has evolved over time, its purpose remains focused on strengthening communities through meaningful support particularly in the spaces of our youth and foundational human needs.
Just as important as financial contributions, the role our employees play in putting our mission to work is equally meaningful. Through their involvement in local organizations, schools, and nonprofit efforts, employees often identify opportunities to support causes they are passionate about. These connections help ensure we remain closely aligned with real community needs and reflect a culture grounded in engagement, integrity, and shared responsibility.
This approach to community involvement reinforces the strong relationships we value, and the trust placed in us by customers, employees and community partners alike.
