Scammers are Spoofing a NEBAT Phone Number  & Impersonating Employees - Beware!

We've recently received reports of fraudsters spoofing a National Exchange Bank & Trust phone number and claiming to see unusual card charges from Walmart, Target and other stores. They are asking to "verify card information." If you receive a call, text or email, do not engage. DO NOT SHARE any information unless you start the conversation using a trusted and verified local number. Stay safe and vigilant!

Celebrating April Retirements

Linda Gage, Jan Gross and Claire Krug retired from National Exchange Bank & Trust in April 2026. Read on to learn more about their careers with NEBAT!

Linda Gage 

Linda Gage joined the bank in 1978 as a customer service representative. Over the years, she advanced into leadership roles and was promoted to Operations Officer for the Montello office in 2013, where she oversaw deposit operations and supported customers. Most recently, she also provided operational oversight for the Princeton office. 

A lifelong Oxford resident, Gage is a graduate of Westfield High School. She has been actively involved in the community through volunteer work with the Salvation Army and service on the Montello School District Scholarship Committee.  

 

 

Jan Gross

Jan Gross joined the bank in 2006; she began supporting the file room and quickly grew into loan input work, booking installment loans and assisting with daily operations. Her experience later expanded into commercial lending support. In her most recent role as Loan Input Processor, she worked closely with lenders to prepare and enter loan information, helping ensure a smooth and efficient lending experience for customers. 

A Juneau native, Gross attended Dodgeland High School before earning an associate’s degree from Moraine Park Technical College. She currently resides in Oakfield. 

 

Claire Krug 

Claire Krug joined the bank in 1975 as a full-time proof operator. Throughout her tenure, she built an impressive and diverse career, serving in a variety of roles. In 1996, Krug joined the Trust Division, where she went on to serve as a trust officer, helping customers manage and protect their assets while administering trust accounts. 

A Fond du Lac native, Krug attended L.P. Goodrich High School and remains a member of the local community.
