Scott Sommers Celebrated 35 Years of Service

Scott Sommers celebrated 35 years of service to National Exchange Bank & Trust on February 1, 2023.

Sommers joined the bank in 1988 after starting his career in the financial industry two years prior. He was hired to sell insurance and help customers with loans.

Over the years, Sommers lending duties grew, and he took on the role of office manager. In 1995, he was promoted to assistant vice president/office manager for Kingston. In 1999, he was promoted to vice president and has provided operational and lending support within the region since that time. Today, Sommers helps oversee lending for the bank’s Northwest service region, including communities near and around Kingston, Montello, Westfield and Coloma.

Sommers lives in Markesan, where he also grew up and attended high school. After high school, he earned a degree in Business from UW-La Crosse. Sommers has given his time to the greater Markesan community his entire professional career and is currently active in the community as a part of Kingston’s Lions Club.
